Arkadius Pichota is an experienced leader with a proven track record of driving sustained business success across research, development and commercial organizations in the biopharmaceutical industry.  

In 2024, Arkadius was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MorphoSys. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the company's operations and leading the integration process following the company’s successful acquisition by Novartis. Before becoming CEO, Arkadius spent six years as the General Manager, President of Legal Entity and Chairman of the Board of Navigate Biopharma, a Novartis-owned precision medicine company.

Arkadius brings over 20 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, including 15 years at Novartis, with the majority of his time spent in the company’s oncology division. Earlier in his career, Arkadius worked as a research scientist at Hoffman La Roche Pharmaceuticals and at the Scripps Research Institute.

Arkadius holds a Master of Science in Chemistry from the University of Heidelberg, a Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. A dual U.S. and German citizen, he currently splits his time between the U.S. and Germany.
